"I see myself in the young people," said Naima Boulal, a 54-year-old longtime trade unionist at the rally. "We have dreamed of this day for a long time. With this Facebook generation, I feel Hope."

The people in these photographs seem far removed from the internet, yet this blog is entirely devoted to their existence. A side of Tijuana that's not really advertised.

WHAT DOES THIS EVEN MEAN?!

A very interesting read, shows how much the social site really is an addiction.

Sadly looks like about a week in, poor soul crapped out and gave in.

Worth a check out though , see the effects of being cut off, and committing “web 2.0 suicide”.

Googling Google on Google

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/17/googling-google-on-google_n_824605.html

"maybe, they've heard the rumor that Googling Google breaks the Internet."

"If you check forums, such as Yahoo Answers, questions are asked based on the rumor like this one: "Is it true you can break the Internet by googling google?" The top answer encourages the questioner to try Googling Google, and then adds, "However, I heard that if you yahoo yahoo, you'll die in 7 days.""

I wonder where the mentality comes from to google google?

the Internet...

... looks exactly like neurons in the human brain.

except human are the neurons, plugging in and uploading ourselves. Adding just another plane of information to the omniscient digital keeper.

All this is yours! ... so long as you pay the low low price of $19.99!

On Keeping a Twitter

I don't really see the point of a Twitter if you're not famous er sumthin, but this article brings up some thought-provoking arguments condoning the use of Twitters for those who like to write.

Some Guidlines...

Hey All -

Make sure that if you post something (images, quotes, videos, whatever) give a short description that might serve as a discussion starter. Give some details on why you're interested in what you posted and what significance it has towards the class and the ideas/theories/criticisms we explore in the class.

Please don't dump random posts without talking about their significance.

KTHXBAI!
